The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh uses a network of community partners to work outside the four walls and deliver services – including food, health, child care and economic assistance programs – in the Hazelwood community. We strive to:

  • Ensure every child has a safe place to go after school with our Before and After School Enrichment programs;
  • Offer swimming lessons to every child so they can stay safe, build confidence, and grow;
  • Provide resources for those at risk of type 2 diabetes receive programming and guidance to stay healthy and active;
  • Give individuals and families a place to go to receive meals and other living necessities through Hope for All.

Through our various outreach programs, the Hazelwood YMCA provides support through services focused on critical areas, such as child welfare, community health, job training, environmental education, quality of life and family services.
