Create, Explore & Inspire
Where Pittsburgh Youth Bring Big Ideas to Life with STEAM
At Y Creator Space, imagination meets innovation. This free after-school STEAM program empowers Pittsburgh-area youth ages 9–14 to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on projects and mentorship. From 3D printing to graphic design, youth gain real-world skills while building upon their resilience, creativity, and confidence.
Our state-of-the-art makerspace at the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh, the Y Learning Center and Ms. Mary's Garden are more than just a classroom and a garden—it’s a collaborative community where young creators work together, solve problems, and turn ideas into reality. With mentorship, connections with nature, cutting-edge tools, and plenty of room for curiosity, Y Creator Space after school clubs are the ultimate launchpad for innovative and compassionate thinking.
