Baierl Family YMCA Capital Campaign

Ready, Set, Swim!

For more than 50 years the YMCA has proudly served children, youth and families in the North Hills. Thirteen years ago we celebrated the opening of the beautiful Baierl Family YMCA, named for Bill Baierl of Baierl Automotive. Bill and his wife Carole recognized the importance of community-strengthening organizations like the Y. They and many other generous contributors saw an opportunity to invest in the health and welfare of the community with a new, all-purpose facility in Wexford.

And while our branch has grown and thrived, it is now time to reinvest in our community and key amenities, including the six lane indoor pool and the outdoor recreational pool.

Besides being great exercise and a challenging sport, swimming is a life skill. The Baierl Family Y offers swim lessons and classes of all kinds for all ages and abilities including family swim, competitive swim teams, master’s swim classes, water aerobics and many types of adaptive-swim programs for kids and adults with special needs.

We need to raise a total of $540,000 to fund this work. Already, almost $200,000 has been raised! Your help is needed now so the Baierl Family Y can continue to serve our larger community and engage swimmers of all ages and abilities. In order to minimize disruption to our swimming community, we must start work on the roof this summer and your help is needed NOW!
