Nick Stone came to the Allegheny YMCA about two years ago as part of our residency program.
Nick battled addiction issues most of his adult life. He is now clean and a shining star at the Allegheny YMCA. Nick credits the Y for bringing balance to his life, he now manages our maintenance staff and is also an avid weightlifter.
The Y made a huge impact on Nick Stone but Nick has made an even greater impression on our YMCA community. Nick has many talents. If there is a project going on at the Y, Nick is leading the way! He recently installed the new tile floor in the men's locker room. Nick actively engages members in the weight room, offering advice to beginners and loosening up the room with his sharp sense of humor. He is also eager to assist the membership team with tours and various projects outside the building (including delivering Christmas toys for underprivileged kids to the local schools).
