COVID-19 Phantom Tournament

For more than 30 years it has been our pleasure to reach into the personal and corporate pockets of our dear friends and colleagues on behalf of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh. You’ve been unfailingly generous and we thank you!

With your help we have netted over $75,000 each year, funding essential quality of life programs in economically challenged communities, including housing, food pantries, academic enrichment and employment programs. Unfortunately, Covid-19 has forced the cancellation of this year’s outing.

But the Y, and the children and families they serve, needs our help. Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on economically challenged communities. Families have lost jobs and many are struggling to put food on their tables. Fortunately, our Y has responded in a HUGE way.

Since mid-March,

• over 2,200 households have been served by Y food pantries,
• over 4,700 outreach calls have been made to senior citizens, and
• over $64,000 has been provided in rental assistance.

This year we are asking you to send your usual sponsorship as a donation, because the circumstances that forced the cancellation of the event are the same ones causing the Y to need our support more than ever.
