Leadership Pittsburgh hosts 2025 Champagne Luncheon (Around Town)

"On January 9 at the Fairmont Pittsburgh downtown, Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. held its annual Champagne Luncheon and Alumni Connection event. Sponsored by Wabtec, the event drew around 400 attendees and included remarks by City of Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey and Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato.

During the event, Leadership Pittsburgh presented its third annual Aradhna Award, named for past president and CEO of LPI, Aradhna Oliphant. This year, the award was presented to Lisa Scales, president and CEO of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and LP XXVII graduate. In honor of Scales and the award, LPI made a $1,100 donation to the food bank.

Lisa is one of the finest examples of servant leadership in Southwestern Pennsylvania and the nation," Jenn Beer, current president and CEO of Leadership Pittsburgh, said in a release. "Her passion and drive for humanity reflects the values of the Aradhna Award. The continuation of this award, along with our new alumni events, lays a strong foundation for growth in the decades to come.”

Leadership Pittsburgh also announced at the event that it will be hosting new engagement programming throughout the year for the organization's extensive network of alumni."
