FALL II AQUATICS AT THE SAMPSON FAMILY YMCA
Make a splash this fall at the Sampson Family YMCA! From first-time swimmers to developing athletes, our Fall II aquatics programs offer opportunities for every age and skill level to build confidence, learn water safety, and enjoy an active lifestyle.
PARENT & CHILD SWIM LESSONS
Ages 6 months–3 years
Introduce your little one to the water in a fun, supportive environment. Parent & Child lessons help children become comfortable in the water while developing early water safety skills through guided activities and play.
Levels include: Water Discovery and Water Exploration.
PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS
Ages 3–5
Help your preschooler build confidence and develop foundational swimming skills. Children progress from becoming comfortable in the water to developing movement, stamina, and introductory stroke skills.
Levels include: Water Acclimation, Water Movement, Water Stamina, and Stroke Introduction.
SCHOOL-AGE SWIM LESSONS
Ages 5–12
Keep young swimmers learning and progressing with age-appropriate instruction. School-age lessons build water confidence, endurance, and swimming technique as children work toward becoming stronger, more capable swimmers.
Levels include: Water Acclimation, Water Movement, Water Stamina, Stroke Introduction, and Stroke Development.
ADULT SWIM LESSONS
Ages 13+
It’s never too late to learn! Adult swim lessons provide a supportive environment to become more comfortable in the water, develop swimming skills, build stamina, and gain confidence.
Levels include: Water Acclimation, Water Movement, and Water Stamina.
FALL/WINTER SWIM TEAM
Ages 4–18
Take swimming to the next level with the Sampson Family YMCA Fall/Winter Swim Team. Swimmers can continue developing their skills, endurance, technique, and teamwork while being part of a team environment.
Team levels include: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

FALL II YOUTH BASKETBALL AT THE SAMPSON FAMILY YMCA
Get on the court this fall at the Sampson Family YMCA! Youth basketball leagues give players the opportunity to build skills, develop confidence, learn teamwork, and enjoy the game in a positive YMCA environment.

Introduce your little one to the basics of martial arts in a fun, supportive environment. Tiny Ninjas helps young children build coordination, listening skills, confidence, and respect while learning age-appropriate movements and having fun.

Build confidence, discipline, focus, and physical fitness through martial arts! Little Ninjas gives kids the opportunity to learn foundational karate skills while developing coordination, respect, and self-confidence in a positive and encouraging environment.

Move, have fun, and try something new! This energetic workshop introduces participants to belly dancing-inspired movement while promoting coordination, mobility, confidence, and fitness. All experience levels are welcome.
FLUID MOTION FITNESS FOR ARTHRITIS

Discover ways to keep moving comfortably with Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist Angel E. This workshop focuses on gentle, accessible movement designed to support mobility and overall wellness for individuals living with arthritis.

Let your young chef take over the kitchen! Master Chef Kids gives children the opportunity to explore cooking through hands-on, creative recipes in a fun and encouraging environment.
Young chefs will prepare dishes including spooky cookies, ragu with buttered noodles, potato samosas, cranberry pastry pies, and holiday pinwheel cookies.
SLOVAK COOKING

Help teens build a strong foundation for a lifetime of healthy living. Led by NASM Certified Personal Trainer Tanner, Teens on Weights introduces young participants to strength training, proper exercise technique, equipment use, and safe workout habits in a supportive small-group setting.
This is a great opportunity for teens to become more comfortable in the wellness center while building strength, confidence, and healthy habits.
WOMEN ON WEIGHTS
November & December
Build strength, confidence, and comfort in the wellness center with Women on Weights. This small-group training program provides instruction on strength-training techniques, equipment, and exercises designed to help participants feel stronger and more confident in their workouts.
Whether you're new to strength training or looking to refresh your routine, Women on Weights offers a supportive environment to learn, move, and grow.

YOUTH PROGRAMMING
Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camp will offer kids a fun, active, and enriching summer experience right in the heart of the North Side. Campers will enjoy a mix of games, swimming, creative activities, and outdoor play—all designed to help them build confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories in a safe and supportive environment led by trained YMCA staff.
Before & After School Care
Our Before & After School Care program will support working families by providing a safe, structured, and engaging place for children outside of school hours. With time for homework help, physical activity, and hands-on enrichment, this program helps kids start and end their school day feeling supported, connected, and ready to learn.
KidZone (Child Watch)
KidZone gives parents peace of mind while they focus on their own wellness. This short-term childcare offering allows children to play, create, and socialize in a welcoming space supervised by caring YMCA staff—making it easier for families to prioritize healthy habits together.

AQUATICS
AQUATICS CENTER
Besides being great exercise and a challenging sport, swimming is a life skill. The Sampson Family YMCA indoor and outdoor pools offer swim lessons of all kinds for all ages family swim, competitive swim teams, and many types of adaptive-swim programs for kids and adults with special needs. We want everybody to be safe while they enjoy the pleasures of being around and in the water.
Youth Swim Lessons
Youth swim lessons will focus on water safety, skill development, and confidence-building for swimmers of all levels. Led by certified YMCA instructors, lessons are designed to meet kids where they are helping beginners learn the basics while supporting more advanced swimmers as they refine technique and build endurance in a safe, encouraging environment.
Lap Lane Swimming
Lap lane swimming provides members with dedicated time and space for individual aquatic exercise. Whether you’re training for fitness, rehabilitation, or stress relief, our lap lanes offer a low-impact, full-body workout option in a clean, welcoming aquatic setting.

Youth Basketball

Through practices, games, and clinics, young athletes grow both on and off the court.
Adult Basketball
Adult basketball provides opportunities for adults in Plum and surrounding communities to stay active, relieve stress, and connect through friendly competition. Open gym play and organized opportunities encourage fitness, camaraderie, and lifelong love of the game.
Pickleball
Pickleball at the Sampson Family YMCA brings together members of all ages for one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. With beginner-friendly play, open sessions, and structured opportunities, pickleball is a fun, social way to stay active and connected.
